Frequently asked questions
Can I claim a medicare rebate?
Medicare rebates can be claimed for some services such as individual counselling as long as you have a current mental health treatment plan. Please speak to your GP about this prior to your first session.
How many counselling sessions will I need? How often are sessions held?
This will depend on your individual issues and the outcomes you are want from counselling. Most appointment are scheduled on a fortnightly basis. This is discussed further during the initial appointment.
What is the cancellation policy?
Appointment times are precious. Hopscotch Partners requires that appointments are cancelled at least two business days (48 hours) prior to the scheduled appointments. Failure to notify of a cancellation will result in full payment being required for the session missed. Appointments will be rescheduled due to extenuating circumstances, ie hospitalisation of a family member etc if notified at the time and an appointment is available within the next seven days. A sick child or car troubles do not qualify for extenuating circumstances. Please note that the costs to run the clinic are fixed, ie rent, insurance, heating etc. Not attending your appointment without notice actually costs time and money to the clinic and deprives somebody else accessing support.
Failure to notify that you are unable to attend an appointment 48 hours in advance may result in service being terminated to the client.
Where do I park?
There is limited parking on Station St and also in the train station carpark.
What are your COVID 19 precautions?
- Appointments are available either face to face, online via zoom or by phone.
Appointments in the clinic are being staggered to ensure that social distancing requirements are met, particularly in the waiting room.
Additional cleaning measures have been implemented, including frequent sanitising of door handles, chair arms and children's toys.
Clients are asked not to attend the clinic if they or those in close contact with them, are exhibiting any symptoms.
